My name is Eileen McGeoghegan, State Representative for the 77th District which has primarily become the new 72nd District. The 77th District had previously been the home district of such notable members of the Missouri General Assembly as Robert Young, Patrick Hickey, James Foley and Michael Corcoran. The pace in Jefferson City during the legislative session is intense. Literally every moment of your time is taken up in committee hearings, handling constituent matters, floor debates and hundreds of procedural votes. But the hard work is worth it for the opportunity to help people. I ran for office because our families were hurting and our State and communities were in fiscal crisis. We have begun to get Missouri moving again, to put families back to work and restore some of the cuts our schools have suffered, but there is still much to be done.
